This November marks the 40th anniversary of The Band’s farewell concert which was called “The Last Waltz” and wound up being one of the most famous concerts in the history of rock. On Wednesday, November 23 an impressive collection of musicians from multiple genres will come together to honor the anniversary with a presentation of “The Complete Last Waltz” at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.
The first Complete Last Waltz was held at The Warfield Theater in San Francisco back in 2012 and was followed by 2013 and 2014 installments at The Capitol Theater. After a year off, The Complete Last Waltz returns this Thanksgiving Eve. Confirmed artists thus far areMatt Houch of Phosphorescent who will perform the Bob Dylan suite as well as Sam Cohen, Nels Cline, Natalie Prass, Scott Metzger (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead), Joe Russo(Joe Russo’s Almost Dead), Dave Dreiwitz (Ween / Joe Russo’s Almost Dead), Ryan Miller(Guster), Binky Griptite (The Dap Kings), John Roderick (The Long Winters), Steve Marion (Delicate Steve), Jon Shaw (Shaky Graves, Cass McCombs), Alecia Chakour(Tedeschi Trucks, Warren Haynes Bands), Josh Kaufman, Eric D Johnson (Fruit Bats),Matt Trowbridge (RANA), Eric Slick (Dr. Dog), Stuart D. Bogie (Superhuman Happiness),Raymond James Mason, Jordan McLean and John Altieri.
